Terms of Service

1.About the Platform

Tradie Brain connects New Zealand homeowners with local tradies. Homeowners can post jobs for free. Tradies pay a monthly subscription to access and claim jobs. We are a platform only — we are not a party to any agreement between homeowners and tradies.

2.Accounts

To register as a tradie, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Provide accurate and complete information
• Hold any licences, registrations, or insurance required for your trade under New Zealand law
• Keep your account credentials secure

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Homeowners do not need an account to post a job.

3.Tradie Subscriptions

Tradie subscriptions are billed monthly. Pricing is as shown on our plans page. All prices are in NZD and exclusive of GST.

• 30-day free trial: New tradie accounts receive a 30-day free trial. A valid payment method is required at sign-up. You will be charged at the end of the trial period unless you cancel first.
• Cancellation: You may cancel at any time from your dashboard. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months.
• Changes to pricing: We will give at least 30 days’ notice of any price changes by email.

4.Job Claims

When a tradie claims a job, the homeowner’s contact details are revealed. It is then the tradie’s responsibility to make contact promptly and professionally. We do not guarantee that every claimed job will result in work.

Tradies must not claim jobs they do not intend to follow up on. Repeated no-contact claims may result in account suspension.

5.Homeowner Use

Posting a job is free for homeowners. By posting a job, you:

• Confirm the job is genuine and located in New Zealand
• Consent to your contact details being shared with tradies who claim the job
• Understand that Tradie Brain does not vet tradies beyond profile verification and does not guarantee the quality of any work performed

6.Prohibited Conduct

You must not use the platform to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent job listings
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute platform data without our consent
• Attempt to circumvent our systems or security measures
• Spam other users or send unsolicited commercial messages

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules without refund.

7.Our Liability

Tradie Brain is a marketplace platform. We do not employ tradies, supervise work, or guarantee outcomes. To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law:

• We are not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of any work performed by tradies
• We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the platform
• Our total liability to you in any 12-month period will not exceed the total subscription fees you paid us in that period

8.Intellectual Property

All content, branding, code, and design on the platform belongs to Tradie Brain Limited. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without written permission. You retain ownership of content you submit (job descriptions, photos) but grant us a licence to use it to operate the platform.

9.Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

10.Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of New Zealand courts.
